The Role:

This is a truly exciting opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious Business Development Manager to join a market leading, global business selling a proposition that will always be needed! Selling our clients range of International & Domestic logistics services you will be required to manage and develop the assigned field sales territory in order to maintain and grow their market position where you will need to achieve individual sales targets while meeting key customer needs. Given the nature of what the company do, your account base will be varied, giving you both a huge amount of opportunity within your designated territory as well as an exciting varied role where you will be dealing with decision makers of all different backgrounds, levels and requirements.

To be successful in this role you will need to be both an effective relationship builder and demonstrate an excellent track record of retention and growth of existing accounts, as well as have the ability to identify suitable prospects from a new business perspective and bring these opportunities to a close.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of a designated region, strengthening relationships with both prospective and established clients to drive sustained growth
  • Consistently meet and surpass personal revenue goals by implementing well-structured sales strategies
  • Understand client requirements and present customised service offerings that match their business needs
  • Spot opportunities to expand business within existing accounts by promoting additional services where relevant
  • Grow the company’s footprint by turning potential leads into loyal, ongoing customers
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver a smooth, high-quality customer journey

For this role, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • A proven track record within business-to-business field sales.
  • New business focused – ideally from a service sell.
  • Have worked for larger, structured companies.
  • Positive, activity driven, can do approach.

The Package:

  • Basic salary up to £40,000 per year + generous commission structure.
