Salary: GBP40000 - GBP60000 per annum + Holiday, Bonus, Hybrid
A fast‑growing contractor in the solar and renewables sector is seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor as part of a commercial team build that is at a very early stage. You will join a lean, agile commercial team, working closely with the Commercial Manager, gaining hands‑on exposure, structured mentorship and early responsibility in a high‑growth environment.

Quantity Surveyor Job Overview
- Commercial management of projects from award through to final account
- Prepare and manage applications, valuations, variations and cost reporting
- Lead subcontract procurement, package placement, valuations and final accounts
- Drive change control and ensure variations are captured and evidenced
- Produce monthly forecasts and support cost reporting and governance
- Support contract administration and commercial risk management
- Work closely with delivery teams to improve record keeping and protect margin
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure value
Quantity Surveyor Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, M&E or a related contracting environment
- Strong knowledge of valuations, variations, reporting and subcontract management
- Commercially astute with confident negotiation and stakeholder skills
- Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a lean team
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
