As a Continuous Improvement Implementation Manager, you will play a central role in shaping Birmingham Airport’s continuous improvement journey. Working closely with teams across live operations, you’ll help turn ideas into meaningful, measurable improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, resilience, and the overall passenger experience. Using the SOAR framework, you’ll guide colleagues through identifying opportunities, testing solutions, and embedding positive change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nurture a collaborative, inclusive continuous improvement culture across Terminal Operations
- Guide teams through framework to explore challenges, test ideas, and embed improvements
- Facilitate workshops, process mapping, and problem‑solving sessions to build a strong improvement pipeline
- Use operational data and performance insights to prioritise, shape, and evaluate initiatives
- Develop clear business cases, trial evaluations, and benefits reporting to support decision‑making
- Ensure all improvement activity meets safety, regulatory, and operational assurance standards
Experience Required:
- Experience working in a complex operational environment such as aviation, transport, or infrastructure
- A proven track record of applying continuous improvement principles to deliver real operational change
- Confident facilitation and engagement skills, with the ability to bring people together at all levels
- Strong capability in using data and evidence to inform decisions and support investment cases
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to turn complex ideas into practical, actionable steps
- Lean, Six Sigma, or similar CI training or accreditation (advantageous but not essential)
