Store Manager – Optical Practice
Independent Franchise | Full Time
An established independent optical franchise is looking for a Store Manager to lead their practice and continue building a reputation for outstanding patient care and commercial success.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced retail or optical leader who thrives on developing teams, delivering exceptional service, and driving performance within their local community.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Franchise Owner, you will take full responsibility for the leadership and performance of the practice. You will work closely with your team to create a positive, customer-focused environment while ensuring strong commercial results.
You will:
- Lead, motivate and develop your team to deliver an exceptional patient and customer experience
- Inspire the team to achieve and exceed performance targets
- Create a welcoming, professional store environment that reflects the values of the franchise
- Support patients throughout their journey, including frame styling, dispensing, and tailored product recommendations
- Use your knowledge of the local area to build relationships and drive business growth
- Work collaboratively with the Franchise Owner to implement the store’s commercial strategy
- Support team development through ongoing training, including the industry-recognised Step into Optics programme
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience leading and developing a team
- A strong background in retail, optical, or customer-focused environments
- Commercial awareness and the ability to drive business performance
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, hands-on leadership style
Optical experience is advantageous but not essential. Full training and development will be provided.
