Pay: £12.71 per hour
Overtime: £19.06 per hour after 40 hours
Shift allowance: +£1.50 per hour (from 4pm on afternoon shift)
Job type: Temp to perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 4.30pm (training) then 1pm - 10pm (afternoon shift)

About the Role

We are recruiting a General Operative on behalf of our client, a well established sheet metal manufacturing business based in Buntingford. This is a temp to perm opportunity offering full training and long term stability within a busy production environment.

The role would suit candidates looking for work such as Warehouse Operative, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Factory Worker, Assembly Operative, or General Labourer, particularly those with transferable skills from hands on or physical roles.

No previous experience in sheet metal or powder coating is required as full training will be provided.

What You'll Do

• Support the powder coating department within a busy manufacturing site
• Hang metal components ready for coating
• Pack finished products for dispatch
• Carry out general production and factory support duties
• Follow clear instructions and health and safety procedures
• Work as part of a team in a fast paced environment
• Learn new skills within the manufacturing process

What We're Looking For

• Willingness to learn and be trained in powder coating and production processes
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Good attention to detail when handling and packing parts
• Previous experience in warehouse, production, assembly, or manufacturing roles is helpful but not essential
