HSE Advisor – Data Centre Project

Location: Bedfordshire

Salary: £55,000-£65,000 + Car + benefits


A leading construction and engineering contractor is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support delivery on a major data centre project in Bedfordshire. This is a flagship scheme for a blue-chip client, offering the opportunity to work on a high-profile, technically complex build within a fast-growing sector.


This is a 2-year project with strong long-term prospects, working alongside an experienced HSE leadership team on a site that demands the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence. You will play a key role in driving HSE performance on site, supporting project teams and subcontractors to ensure safe systems of work are embedded and consistently delivered. This is a visible, hands-on position requiring strong engagement across all levels of the project.


Key Responsibilities of the HSE Advisor:


  • Support the implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and site standards
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and assurance activities
  • Review and advise on RAMS and safe systems of work
  • Engage with subcontractors to ensure compliance and best practice
  • Deliver toolbox talks, briefings, and safety initiatives
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
  • Provide support and guidance to site management teams and workforce


The successful HSE Advisor will have:


  • Proven experience as an HSE Advisor within construction, ideally on large-scale or complex projects
  • Experience within data centres, M&E, or major projects would be highly advantageous
  • Strong working knowledge of UK HSE legislation and construction standards
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage on site
  • Proactive, visible, and solutions-focused approach to safety
