Planner / Senior Planner

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Planner or Senior Planner to join our team at Walter Thompson Contractors.

Based in our Northallerton head office, you’ll play a key role in planning and delivering a wide range of construction projects across sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare and education, typically ranging in value form £500k to £15m.

What You’ll Be Doing

·      Producing and managing construction programmes from tender through to completion.

·      Working closely with contracts managers, site teams and commercial teams

·      Monitoring progress and identifying risks and opportunities

·      Supporting tender submissions with programmes and methodology

·      Preparing short-term programmes and progress updates

·      Engaging with clients, consultants and subcontractors

What We’re Looking For

·      Experience in a planning role within a main contractor

·      Strong understanding of construction sequencing and delivery

·      Experience with planning software (**Asta Powerproject preferred**)

·      Good communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach

·      Ability to influence programme strategy and support project teams
