Designer Parfums is a fast-growing company in the perfume and cosmetics industry, with a UK base and international ambition. Brands we operate include GHOST, ARIANA GRANDE, JENNIFER LOPEZ, HAWAIIAN TROPIC, CERRUTI, PLAYBOY, GUY LAROCHE, and PALOMA PICASSO.


This is a full-time position, located in Watford, UK. This role requires 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home.


JOB PURPOSE


Reporting to the Senior Demand Planning Manager, Designer Parfums (DP) is looking for a Demand Planner to provide support to the Demand planning function across all brands with the target of making sure we provide stock to our customers on time and in full. The successful candidate will have a background in Demand planning and possess an excellent level of technical skills to be able to fully support the development of the function. The role function is to maintain an up-to-date forecast, reporting on sales trends and forecast accuracy to maximize sales and minimize inventory liabilities.

The role will require working very closely with Sales teams, account managers ,Marketing as well as the supply planning team.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demand planner – Key responsibilities:
  • Support Demand Planning for all brands
  • Collate Market Forecasts and update planning tools
  • Maintaining rolling demand plan for all active and new SKUs.
  • Maintain data inputs to the demand planning forecast management tool.
  • Monitor Forecast accuracy by brand and customer group monthly.
  • Monitor & report on key changes in sales forecasts, budgets & business strategies.
  • Propose & implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Identify and help manage end-of-life item forecasts.
  • Conduct formal forecast meetings with Account Managers to review and amend short- and medium-term forecasts.
  • Produce monthly S&OP meetings analysis to support meetings.
  • Conduct monthly S&OP meetings with Account Managers to review sales, supply, and sales demand and sales performance.
  • Attend the seasonal alignment meetings in conjunction with the Demand Planning Manager and account manager to agree the seasonal forecast.
  • Organise monthly forecast approval meetings with Demand Planning Manager.
  • Support the Demand Planning Manager with risk assessments & mitigation activities.
  • Work with production planners to ensure they meet requirements & planned productions have been approved.


2.Deliver on Operational KPIs – Forecast vs Sales (FE / Forecast error), Forecast Accuracy (FA )MAPE% and BIAS%, Item Location Forecast , Phase-out Products.


3.Drive continuous improvement of demand planning tools and capabilities Support the development of fit-for-purpose IT infrastructure to enable the Demand planning team to increase reliability and efficiency.

Fit-for-purpose processes and tools to enable planning goals . To learn new software and staying current with industry best practices.

Aim to enhance your proficiency in statistical forecasting methods to improve demand prediction and manage uncertainty more effectively.


REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in personal care or beauty industry is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in demand planning, business planning, or supply chain planning roles with touch point in commercial and financial analysis is essential.
  • Knowledge of, and working experience with forecasting, demand planning and S&OP.
  • Experience of working with and implementing a forecasting system.
  • Must have excellent data analyst skills and must be very detail oriented.
  • Understanding and commercial awareness of the total supply chain including supply planning and customer supply chain teams.
  • Attention to detail, and an ability to spot anomalies in large data sets.
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills with hands-on experience with forecasting and planning tools a plus
  • Excellent Excel skills (mastery of Pivot Tables, data sorting and V-Lookups necessary). Other MSOffice tools experience required.
  • Experience in SAP Business One and Netstock is desirable.
