The Opportunity
I’m currently partnering with a marketing agency based in Reading that is looking to hire a Data Analyst to join their growing data and insight's function.
This is a key hire as the business continues to invest in its data capability, with a strong focus on improving campaign performance, client reporting, and data-driven decision making across marketing and sales activity.
You’ll play a central role in analysing campaign performance, building insightful reporting, and helping both internal teams and clients better understand what drives engagement, pipeline, and revenue.
Working closely with marketing, sales, and client services teams, you’ll translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment where data has a direct commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse marketing campaign performance across multiple channels (email, digital, telemarketing)
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for internal teams and external clients
- Translate data into actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness and ROI
- Work with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements
- Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources using SQL and Excel
- Support data quality, validation, and consistency across reporting outputs
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to track pipeline performance and lead generation metrics
- Present insights and recommendations to both internal stakeholders and clients
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Data Analyst or BI-focused role
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with structured datasets
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Ability to translate data into clear business insights
- Experience working with marketing, sales, or campaign data
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
Desirable Skills
- Experience within a marketing agency, lead generation, or B2B environment
- Exposure to CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Understanding of marketing metrics (conversion rates, CPL, ROI, pipeline contribution)
- Python or R
- Experience working with large or complex datasets
- Client-facing experience or stakeholder presentation skills
