Job Overview

A tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor/Senior QS to support a busy and established highways framework on an ongoing rolling-contract basis.

This is a long-term opportunity within a supportive, collaborative commercial team, offering flexibility, hybrid working and a strong pipeline of work.

Role will include:

• Commercial management across highways framework projects.
• Applications, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Subcontract procurement and commercial management.
• Cost reporting and commercial support across live schemes.
• Working closely with an experienced and approachable team.

Requirements:

• Proven contractor-side Quantity Surveying experience.
• Strong Highways experience essential.
• Experience working with schedule of rates and remeasurement.
• Familiarity with the specification for Highways Works and Method of Measurement for Highway Work ("Black Book")
• HNC, BSc or equivalent Quantity Surveying qualification.
• Able to work autonomously within a live framework environment.
