Project Controls Engineers (All Levels) – Infrastructure Projects

Location: London (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £40,000 – £100,000 + Benefits

An opportunity is available for Project Controls Engineers at various levels to join a consultancy supporting major UK infrastructure programmes. This role offers the chance to work on complex, high-value projects across sectors such as transport, energy, defence, and utilities.

You will contribute to the successful delivery of nationally significant projects by supporting planning, cost management, and performance monitoring activities. The role provides exposure to a broad range of project controls disciplines and the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals across major programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
  • Support cost tracking, forecasting, and earned value performance reporting
  • Analyse project data to produce clear and accurate insights for decision-making
  • Assist with risk management, change control, and governance processes
  • Work closely with planners, project managers, and commercial teams to support project delivery
  • Contribute to project controls activities throughout the full project lifecycle

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • Experience in project controls, planning, or project scheduling
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts and structured project delivery environments
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
  • Strong Excel skills and analytical capability
  • High attention to detail with a proactive and collaborative approach
