Finance Data & Reporting Analyst

A premier financial services firm is looking for a meticulous Financial Data & Reporting Analyst to join its core finance function. This position is designed for a professional who excels at bridging the gap between raw data integrity and high-level stakeholder reporting, ensuring that our funding mechanisms are supported by accurate and transparent information.

Key Areas of Focus

• Integrity & Quality Assurance: You will be the primary guardian of financial data, identifying and fixing internal discrepancies before they reach final reports. This involves establishing rigorous new validation protocols to ensure consistency across the entire reporting ecosystem.
• Funding & External Reporting: Take ownership of the end-to-end production of critical reports for external partners and regulatory bodies. You will ensure every submission adheres to strict contractual and industry standards while managing all incoming technical queries.
• Operational Liaison: Serve as a vital link between the finance department and broader business units. You will consult with various teams to translate their data needs into streamlined reporting outputs.
• Systems & Efficiency Architecture: Evaluate existing workflows to find opportunities for automation and technical upgrades. You will stay ahead of market trends to suggest tools that enhance the reliability of our financial disclosures.
• Insights & Performance Analytics: Move beyond basic reporting by providing deep-dive analysis into data quality trends. Your reports will offer the clarity needed for executive leaders to make data-driven decisions.
• Change Management Support: Work alongside the technology team during system migrations or new product launches. You will perform detailed reconciliations to ensure data remains stable and accurate throughout any transition.

Candidate Profile

• AI Integration: You should be adept at using AI-driven tools to enhance productivity, generate insights, and tackle complex data challenges.
• Technical Stack: Advanced expertise in Excel and SQL is essential. Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) software and large-scale ERP systems is highly advantageous.
• Relevant Experience: A proven track record in data analysis, financial control, or reporting-heavy roles.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the communication skills required to influence stakeholders across different business functions.
• Background: An academic foundation in Finance, Business, or a quantitative field.
