An established and progressive independent accountancy firm in Northamptonshire is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant into a mixed accounts and audit role, offering real variety, client exposure, and a clear route into leadership.

This is a position suited to someone who enjoys working across both disciplines, not purely accounts, and wants to build broader experience within a supportive practice environment.

The Role

You will work closely with a varied portfolio of SME clients, with responsibilities including:

• Preparing and reviewing statutory and management accounts
• Personal and corporate tax compliance
• Supporting audit assignments alongside senior team members
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building long-term relationships
• Supporting and developing junior team members
• Gradually taking ownership of your own portfolio

About You

• ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience considered)
• Background within accountancy practice
• Experience across both accounts and audit is highly beneficial
• Confident communicator who enjoys working directly with clients
• Keen to progress and take on more responsibility over time
