We are now looking for a Kitchen Assistant to 23 hours in our Avila care home in Bessbrook.

PAY RATE £12.71 per hour

We are now looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join the team in our Avila Nursing Home in Bessbrook to ensure the high standard of cleanliness in the Nursing Home is maintained.

The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen and of all equipment, cleaning materials, liquids and solvents used in the kitchen. He/she will assist in the preparation and cooking of food.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
• Assist in the service of all meals and snacks and complete food choice lists for residents at each mealtime.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
• Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
• Support the team during busy periods by assisting with various kitchen tasks as required
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times
