Breast Consultant in Radiology
Division: Surgery
Grade: Consultant
We are recruiting a UK based Breast Consultant in Radiology to complete the departmental structure of Diagnostic Breast Radiology Consultant Services across Royal Liverpool University Hospital and University Hospital Aintree.
Job type: Permanent full time (10 PA’s), cross‑site at UHLG with a 3 month probationary internal assessment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide a first class clinical service in Breast Radiology.
- Contribute to the general workload of the department.
- Supervise junior medical staff in Breast and General Radiology.
- Provide radiological expertise in terms of advice for imaging and reporting.
- Take part in Radiology Audit, Governance, Consultant and Departmental Meetings & continuing professional development.
- Prepare for and lead discussions in appropriate MDTMs.
- Maintain Annual CPR training and other mandatory training.
Teaching responsibilities
- Junior staff
- Post graduate lectures to FRCR and University students of Physics and Science.
- Undergraduate medical and dental students as part of their curriculum.
- Trainee radiographers & advanced radiographic practitioners, nurses, physicists and pharmacists; involvement in training radiology registrars is expected.
