A Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in urological imaging and non‑vascular intervention is sought to join our forward‑thinking Radiology team at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. The role involves delivering elective and emergency imaging services across Calderdale and Huddersfield. Fluoroscopic and ultrasound skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Deliver elective and emergency imaging services across Calderdale and Huddersfield.
- Interpret high‑quality imaging across ultrasound, CT and MRI.
- Vet and report specialist scans, offer second opinions and participate in MDTs.
- Work flexibly across sites while maintaining competence in general imaging.
- Participate in the on‑call rota and contribute to departmental functions such as education, audit, and modality groups.
- Teach and supervise trainees from the Leeds‑Bradford Radiology Academy.
- Engage in research, audit, and service evaluation to support evidence‑based practice.
- Contribute to education, audit, research and departmental leadership roles.
- Commit to clinical governance, quality assurance, peer review and adherence to Trust safety policies.
- Maintain accreditation under the Quality Standard for Imaging.
Qualifications
- Current GMC Licence to Practise.
- Either listed on the General Medical Council Specialist Register or within six months of achieving CCT (for trainees currently in a UK training programme).
- If not yet on the Specialist Register, must clearly demonstrate equivalent consultant‑level experience in chest and cardiac imaging.
- Strong commitment to clinical governance, quality assurance and peer review.
