As the Transformation Programme Director for the Manchester Digital Campus (MDC) you will work with all departments to change the way Government works, removing collaboration barriers and creating career pathways. You will help shape policy, deliver tangible outcomes, and build a central MDC team that drives the programme.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with all departments, shaping vision and policy to remove structural barriers.
- Lead the Programme Executive and oversight teams, ensuring delivery is coherent and benefits delivered on time and within cost.
- Develop and maintain a central view of risks, issues, opportunities and dependencies, using the Programme Board for action.
- Set up and oversee the seven Lines of Development, ensuring timely and collective delivery towards the 2032 target.
- Drive benefit realisation, focusing on the Ministerial/Perm Sec set priorities and maximizing UK benefits.
- Work closely with finance and commercial colleagues to ensure appropriate delegation, spend controls and financial contributions from government.
- Support the SRO in putting programme controls, delegations and accountability mechanisms in place.
- Prepare and develop the Full Business Case (Summer 2027) with the GPA CIO team, securing agreement from the Programme Board, SRO, ministers and HMT.
- Serve on the MDC Executive, embedding delivery principles and values across pillars.
