Milton Keynes Community Health Services (MKCHS), part of CNWL, is seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Governance Lead to join the Diggory Division. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance across a diverse range of community services.
The role focuses on promoting, supporting, monitoring, and leading clinical and service effectiveness within the Community Health Services Directorate. The post holder will have advanced knowledge of key regulatory frameworks and will use this to support the Directorate in the development, implementation and monitoring of key standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Senior Management Team to maintain effective oversight of all aspects of the Serious Incident Processes.
- Work with the Service Director, Clinical Director and Service Managers to establish and maintain an effectiveness infrastructure for the Directorate.
- Embed service governance at all levels, enabling every service within the Directorate to provide assurance to the Board via routes established in CNWL-MK and the wider organization.
- Have a special focus on Serious Incident processes and investigations in the directorate and monitor and support requirements of effective governance and service quality related to serious incidents.
- Assist in the review of action plans and suggest themes for audit that may arise from risks, trends, incidents, audits, and complaints.
- Manage complex data collection from a variety of sources and contribute information and data to dashboards as required.
- Keep up to date with developments both nationally and locally in relation to the quality agenda.
- Work collaboratively with teams to embed learning from incidents and complaints.
- Attend relevant meetings and forums where quality is the focus.
- Contribute to the Quality Agenda – support the CQIF and COG meetings.
- Contribute to the management of the Directorate Audit Plan.
- Promote QI methodology and support services with improvement plans.
