Overview
A vacancy at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for a resident doctor to gain clinical and surgical experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology within a teaching hospital setting. The postgraduate plan supports the Royal College curriculum and includes ePortfolio documentation of training competencies.
Responsibilities
- Day‑to‑day clinical duties in maternity triage, antenatal clinic, gynaecology clinic, maternity day assessment unit and theatre sessions.
- Participation in a three‑tier on‑call rota covering Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Audit work and contribution to the weekly departmental academic teaching programme.
- Attendance at essential training such as PROMPT, CTG study day and MED2.
Qualifications
- Completion of MRCOG Part 3 and registration with the GMC.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated compassion for patients, with strong time‑management and organisational skills.
