Overview

The role of Specialty Training Programme Director for Neurology within the School of Medicine. The Director will work with and support the Head of School for Medicine in leading the delivery of a wide range of functions, aligned to the NHS England mandate and long‑term workforce plan. The position is open to candidates across the South West region.

Responsibilities

• Improve learner supervision, assessment and experience.
• Engage faculty and ensure effective educational outcomes, both now and in the future.
• Support the Head of School for Medicine in leading the delivery of functions aligned to the NHS England mandate and long‑term workforce plan.

Qualifications

• Experienced clinician with a thorough understanding of education and training across the region.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a multi‑professional team.

Employment Terms

Part‑time secondment to NHS England until 31 March 2027, alongside existing employment with an NHS Trust in the South West geographical footprint.
