A full time vacancy for a Lead Officer for Family Hubs and Parenting has arisen within the Early Years and School Readiness Team. The post is fixed term for 3 years linked to external funding.

This is a key leadership role, jointly responsible for leading the operational delivery of the Best Start in Life Family Hubs within an area of Bury. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, lead and support staff, and build strong partnerships to ensure families receive the right support at the right time. The role plays a vital part in shaping a joinedup, inclusive and responsive service that gives every child the best possible start in life.

You will be part of a skilled, friendly and supportive team and work closely with a wide range of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development and coordination of a strategic approach to Family Hubs and Parenting across the Borough.
• Secure better outcomes for all children in Bury by providing targeted support and interventions.
• Lead on Bury's parenting offer including the coordination and delivery of high-quality evidence based parenting programmes.
• Understand and meet national and local priorities in relation to inclusive practice and SEND.

Qualifications & Experience

• Significant experience of working in Family Hubs, Early Years, Childcare or education environment in a managerial capacity.
• A level 3 qualification or above in Early Years.
• Evidence of continued professional development in relevant area of work.
• Experience of the development and implementation of strategies, action plans and setting and achieving measurable outcomes.
• A highly developed knowledge and understanding of the Family Hub and Start for Life programme.

You will report directly to the Service Manager, Collette Radcliffe.

You will work across the borough of Bury delivering services within our five neighbourhoods.

Working Hours

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Depending on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis with evening and weekend work occasionally.
