Overview

As the Haematology IT Lead, you will work closely with a team of section managers who each hold a lead responsibility in ensuring service delivery, as well as with the Department Network Manager and colleagues from CWPS to provide a pan-pathology approach to development and improvement.

The Haematology department spans across the CWPS network, University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, George Eliot Hospital, and South Warwick Hospital. The successful candidate will be required to work across all sites.

You will be expected to work well as part of the Management Team, be innovative, support your management colleagues in service provision, and deputise for the Network Manager when required. Adaptability, resilience, and a proven capacity to manage a wide range of tasks alongside a broad group of staff grades and abilities are essential. Enthusiasm, creativity, confidence to lead and support within a demanding modern environment are also required.

Training and guidance will be given to ensure you are supported within your role. We will accept applications from Biomedical Scientists keen to undertake an operational role. A Band 6 Trainee Section Manager post may also be offered to the right candidate who does not hold an MSc or equivalent qualification; completion of the IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma over 12 months whilst in this role would then progress to Band 7 Section Manager.
