Nursery Room Leader in Banbury
Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire
Pay Rate: £13 – £14 per hour
Hours: Full-time
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader / Senior Practitioner to join a friendly and supportive early years setting in Banbury. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to lead a team, support children’s development, and create a positive and engaging learning environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring high standards of care and education while helping children thrive in a safe, nurturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Support and supervise team members, encouraging development and teamwork
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children
- Provide high-quality care, including personal care and daily routines
- Monitor and record children’s progress, sharing updates with parents
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, cleanliness, and safeguarding
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
What We’re Looking For
- Full and relevant Early Years / Childcare qualification
- Previous experience in a Room Leader or senior role (preferred)
- Good English and Maths (Grade 4/C or equivalent)
- Paediatric First Aid (desirable)
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
