Position Overview
Join the Governing Board of Nottingham College as a non‑executive Governor. The role involves providing strong governance and strategic oversight, supporting the college’s mission and strategic priorities, and contributing to the future of further education in Nottingham.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend board meetings (five times per year) and provide strategic direction.
- Participate in at least one board committee: Audit; Finance & Assets; Governance & Search; Learning & Quality; or Remuneration.
- Support the CEO, Principal and executive team in performance monitoring and long‑term planning.
- Advise on safeguarding, inclusion, and strategic resource investment.
Candidate Profile
- Strategic leadership experience in finance, people & culture, local business/industry, SEND, inclusion, or safeguarding.
- Strong judgement, professionalism, and a genuine ambition for the college and its community.
- Willingness to commit time for board meetings, committee work, and development sessions.
