About the Role

The company is looking for a driven Territory Sales Manager to deliver sales growth across the South-East of London through field-based sales management. This role combines account management, new business development, and hands-on customer support to maximise revenue and return on investment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts to achieve sales and revenue targets
  • Prospect, win, and onboard new business within the territory
  • Build strong relationships with retail and foodservice customers
  • Identify opportunities to expand product ranges, introduce new products, and increase sales
  • Analyse account performance and use data to drive actions and improvements
  • Deliver regular business reviews and territory plans to management
  • Ensure high levels of customer service, responding to enquiries promptly and resolving issues efficiently
  • Promote and increase the adoption of online ordering platforms

Operational & In-Store Support

  • Conduct site audits to ensure compliance with equipment, product range, and brand standards
  • Deliver product training, including preparation, presentation, and display best practices
  • Support customer sites with product launches and promotional activity
  • Identify gaps in product offering and drive additional sales opportunities
  • Monitor equipment usage and ensure optimal return on investment
  • Maintain standards for cleanliness, product availability, and in-store execution

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in field sales, ideally within FMCG, retail, or foodservice
  • Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
  • Commercially driven with a results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to analyse data and translate insights into action
  • Confident delivering training and engaging with customers at all levels
  • Well-organised with strong planning skills; taking a ‘roll-up your sleeves’ & ‘get stuck in approach’
  • Passion for food; bakery or product knowledge is advantageous
  • Up to £35k base DOE + £5k Car Allowance & travel expense coverage + 5% Quarterly Bonus (increasing incrementally year on year) + 28 days Holiday (incl. BH) + Mon-Fri 8am-5pm schedule
  • Autonomy to own and build your patch; growing your relationships
  • Strong growth and progression opportunities
