Overview
In the role of EMEA Site Civil Business Class Lead, you will help build and lead a best-in-class practice. You will drive knowledge sharing across the global community, develop mentoring and succession strategies for technical expertise, and ensure high-quality project delivery through design oversight and standardization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build best-in-class practice – duties would include developing and implementing a strategy for development and maintenance of project delivery tools, standards, best practices, and workflows.
- Drive the community of practice and partner with key stakeholders to identify and develop a network of Technical Experts/Subject Matter Experts as needed to support the HDR enterprise.
- Develop and implement mentoring and succession strategies for technical expertise.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to tie the global community of professionals together for knowledge sharing.
- Drive quality throughout the program, perform design quality control reviews, and lead quality initiatives in support of a strong quality-oriented culture.
- Assist in ensuring project teams are leveraging subject matter experts to optimize project delivery, including providing design oversight and leading teams on the most complex projects.
- Thought leadership and elevating technical profile, fostering a culture of innovation within the practice.
- Provide critical/strategic pursuit and interview support related to the respective discipline as needed, and/or identify other qualified staff within the discipline.
- Recruit and retain top talent and be known by clients and competitors as the best in the market.
- Awards, publications, speaking engagements, and leadership opportunities with societies and technical organizations.
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Civil Engineering
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
- 10 years of experience
- Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
- Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience in development and management of diverse teams
- Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts
