Overview
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust invites an ACC‑qualified Clinical Coder to join the Clinical Coding department, focusing on delivering high‑quality coded data that meets national standards.
Responsibilities
- Code a variety of specialties within an acute NHS organisation.
- Create accurate clinical coded data in line with NHS Trust standards.
- Collaborate closely with Clinical Coding Team Leaders and support Trainee Clinical Coders.
- Work with the Data & Analytics Team to develop and improve coding tools.
- Ensure coded data is accurate, complete, and delivered within strict monthly and national deadlines.
Qualifications
- ACC qualification (Clinical Coder).
- Experience coding multiple specialties in an NHS environment.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proven record of effective teamwork and communication with healthcare professionals.
- Flexibility and adaptability, embracing coding standards, rules, and conventions.
