Salary: £27,257 – £29,850. Hours: 36 per week.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Homelessness Mobile Warden position in The City of Edinburgh Council’s Temporary Accommodation Service.

You will need significant experience of working in a role involving cleaning duties, manual handling tasks or supporting clients within a housing association, council or similar organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare Temporary Accommodation properties to a high standard, ensuring they are appropriately furnished and adequately stocked within a specified timescale.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors and utility companies to carry out any necessary repair work.
  • Put customers first, respect and understand their concerns and needs, and inspire confidence in your customers for the service you work for.
  • Be sensitive and responsive to the needs of all customers, many of whom may experience significant challenges in their lives.

Checks:

  • This post is regulated to work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. You will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
  • If you have spent continuously three months or more out of the UK in the last five years, you will need to provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check.
  • Your unconditional offer will be conditional on satisfactory outcomes of both checks.

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience of working in cleaning, manual handling, or client support roles within a housing association, council or similar organisation.
