An established architecture and design practice with a strong track record in residential, regeneration, and refurbishment projects is seeking an experienced Remediation Lead to join its London studio. This role will take a central position in leading the delivery of complex remediation and retrofit schemes, with a particular focus on existing residential buildings. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with proven leadership in project delivery and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of remediation and refurbishment projects across multiple residential schemes
  • Oversee projects from RIBA Stage 4 through to completion, ensuring quality and compliance throughout
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants on remediation matters
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including fire engineers, façade consultants, and contractors
  • Review and manage technical design information, ensuring alignment with current regulations and best practice
  • Lead on building safety and compliance, including fire safety strategies and façade remediation
  • Identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks across live projects

Qualifications

  • Qualified Architect or equivalent professional background
  • Significant experience in residential architecture, particularly multi‑unit and high‑rise developments
  • Demonstrable experience leading remediation, retrofit, or refurbishment projects
  • Proven experience working at post‑planning stages (Stages 4–7)
  • Experience working with housing associations, local authorities, or developer clients
  • Strong coordination and project leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and client‑facing abilities
