The College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (CoSRH) is seeking an experienced and strategic Digital, Technology and Cyber Security Trustee to join our Board and help shape the organisation’s digital future.
About the role
As a Trustee, you will play a key role in the governance and strategic direction of CoSRH. As our lead trustee for digital, technology and cyber security, you will provide expert insight and constructive challenge across areas including digital transformation, data governance, cyber risk and emerging technologies such as AI and automation.
This is an opportunity to influence how a respected healthcare charity uses technology safely, ethically and effectively to support its members and protect sensitive information.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and leadership on technology, digital innovation and cyber security
- Support the Board in understanding and managing cyber and digital risk
- Advise on data protection, GDPR and information governance
- Contribute to decisions on technology investment, procurement and vendor management
- Help ensure member-facing digital services are accessible, inclusive and future‑focused
- Share insight on emerging technology trends relevant to healthcare and the charity sector
About you
We’re looking for someone with:
- Senior-level experience in digital, technology or cyber security (board, executive or senior advisory level)
- Strong expertise in cyber security strategy, risk management and incident response
- A solid understanding of UK GDPR and data protection frameworks
- The ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to non‑technical audiences
- An interest in good governance and the responsibilities of trusteeship
Previous trustee or board experience is welcome but not essential.
Time commitment
- Approximately 12 days per year
- Four Board meetings annually (London and/or virtual)
- Three‑year term (with a possible extension)
- Reasonable travel and subsistence expenses reimbursed
- Use your expertise to support an organisation that improves sexual and reproductive healthcare standards
- Gain or develop board‑level charity governance experience
- Work alongside a committed and collaborative Board
- Make a genuine social impact with a manageable time commitment
