Financial Controller

Overview

We are recruiting for a high growth resources business that will eventually raise Series A investment. This is the first finance hire and reports to an experienced board of Directors. Location: Oxford, 3 days in office and the rest from home. Salary £80,000 full time or £100,000 pro-rata for 4 days working. There will be a bonus scheme and other benefits, equity plan, that will be put in place but are not there just yet.

Role objective: insource the accounting function from the bookkeeping practice, build a group finance function, and support future investment readiness.

Responsibilities

• Insourcing the accounting function from the bookkeeping practice and building a scalable group finance function
• May hire 1 or 2 people in time to support growth
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Putting together an in-depth management information pack for the board
• Statutory accounts and audit preparation
• Cashflow management and treasury management
• Managing suppliers globally and ensuring on-time payments
• Providing information for the board to support future investment decisions

Qualifications

• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified
• Strong experience in a fast-paced organisation as a Financial Controller
• Experience in an international organisation
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Experience dealing with auditors
• Ability to meet all regulatory requirements
