We invite applications for a Research Officer in Economic Evaluation to join EuroHeartPath, a major European initiative aimed at transforming cardiovascular care pathways. The project brings together 38 partners from academia, healthcare, industry and patient organisations, with the shared goal of reducing the burden of cardiovascular disease across Europe. LSE Health leads the health economics, ethics and policy work package within EuroHeartPath. The project is also embedded within the AI and Digital Unit at LSE Health, and the Research Officer will have the opportunity to engage with the wider international activities of the Unit.
The aim of our work is to evaluate the comparative cost-effectiveness and sustainability of new technologies – such as AI-driven diagnostics, digital health tools, point-of-care testing, and robotic imaging – and to develop policy roadmaps for their adoption across diverse health systems.
Candidates should hold a PhD in health economics, health services research, health policy or have relevant experience. They should have experience in economic evaluation methods, including modelling and simulation techniques, and ideally some experience carrying out policy analysis, and some familiarity with the regulatory landscape for digital health technologies. Candidates should have demonstrative ability to collate and analyse data from a range of sources, have ability to analyse and research complex ideas, concepts or theories and synthesise research into a compelling narrative for scientific publication.
LSE Health offers a vibrant research environment with strong links to policymakers and international organisations. We provide opportunities for networking, training, and career development, including support for fellowship and grant applications. LSE offers an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent professional development resources.
