Job Overview
We are looking for candidates with robust clinical expertise who can demonstrate progressive skills in clinical leadership and management to join the Brent Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) as a Mental Health Clinical Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day‑to‑day clinical and team management responsibilities at team level using performance management systems.
- Ensure the effective delivery of clinical activity and quality standards to meet service specifications.
- Collaborate with the Operational Team Manager, Clinical Leads/Senior Practitioners, Inpatient Service and HTT.
- Provide creative contact and support to adults experiencing Severe and Enduring Mental Health problems.
- Supervise and support members of the clinical staff and provide a useful resource on care‑coordination responsibilities and other aspects of day‑to‑day clinical operations, including statutory duties and complex care issues.
- Provide strong clinical leadership and work closely with care coordinators to establish and maintain high clinical care standards.
- Ensure that data/performance requirements of the CMHT are met and allocate caseloads taking into account service‑user needs and team expertise.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Registered nurse with experience in community mental health and in multi‑disciplinary teams caring for adults in secondary mental health care.
- Experience working in a CMHT is preferred.
- Ability to engage in Therapeutic Management of Violence and Aggression (TMVA) training, including use of force techniques, and attend resuscitation training and perform CPR.
- Attendance to TMVA and resus training during employment is mandatory.
