Registered Manager – Children’s Home (Solo/Dual)
Salary: £43,476 - £45,107 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)
Maximum job rate: £46,709 (performance related)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Kings Lynn, Norfolk
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Children’s Manager to lead one of our Solo/Dual homes in King's Lynn. The role supports children in healing, building confidence, and moving toward a brighter future.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team and develop staff using a trauma‑informed, child‑centred care model.
- Provide reflective supervision, guidance and annual appraisals to staff.
- Collaborate with Break’s Therapeutic Team, families, external agencies and the Staying Connected service to achieve positive outcomes for each child.
- Work in partnership with children and young people, ensuring safe, stable, homely environments.
- Support smooth transitions when young people leave care.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong experience in children’s residential care and leadership.
- Relevant qualification – a childcare‑related Diploma at Level 3 or above.
- Strong understanding of trauma‑informed practice and therapeutic parenting approaches.
- Commitment to creating a safe, stable, and homely environment where children feel they belong.
- Excellent partnership working skills with colleagues, external professionals and families.
- Passion for continuous improvement and supporting teams to deliver high‑quality care.
- Enhanced DBS check (funded by Break).
