Responsibilities

Following training, responsibilities will include triaging and admitting emergency referrals under clinician direction, with exposure to complex cases such as GDV, haemoabdomen, pleural effusion, DKA and more. You will manage an average of 5–15 inpatients per night from local practices and the on‑site referral service, in addition to a varied and stimulating emergency caseload.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a confident, capable and enthusiastic veterinary surgeon dedicated to ECC work, with high standards of clinical care, excellent record keeping, and a calm, professional approach. They will thrive in a fast‑paced out‑of‑hours environment, enjoy managing referral‑level cases independently, and value strong collaboration with both night and day teams.
