An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical psychologist to work with our Older Adult Functional Mental Health Team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and deliver individual and group psychological interventions.
  • Offer team formulations, supervise team and junior psychology colleagues, and contribute to the delivery of psychological skills training.
  • Support audits, research and service development initiatives.
  • Supervise junior staff, including Assistant Psychologists, Mental Health & Well‑being Practitioners and Trainee Clinical Psychologists.
  • Consult and supervise multidisciplinary (MDT) colleagues, attend MDT meetings and provide team formulations.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies such as care homes, primary care, social care, physical health, voluntary sector partners and wider secondary mental health services.
  • Take on a trusted assessment role and manage a clinical caseload of complex, multi‑agency cases.
  • Supervise and support other clinicians, working autonomously within professional guidelines and implementing necessary changes.
  • Co‑operate with multidisciplinary colleagues to achieve service outcomes and targets.
