Night Veterinary Surgeon – West Sussex

We have an exceptional opportunity for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join two proudly independent small animal hospitals in West Sussex. Our client seeks an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to enhance their night teams at state‑of‑the‑art RCVS accredited hospitals.

Working Hours / Rota

• Full‑time role
• Shift times between 7 pm and 8 am
• Rota pattern to be discussed

Facilities & Equipment

The hospitals are equipped with digital X‑ray, ultrasound, endoscopy with video screen, comprehensive soft‑tissue and orthopaedic surgical tools, diathermy, suction machines, in‑house blood and urine testing laboratories, fluid line heaters, heat mats, and a Bair Hugger unit for maintaining body temperature during anaesthesia.

Team & Support

You’ll join a team of experienced veterinary professionals including certificate holders in Small Animal Surgery, Small Animal Medicine, Emergency and Critical Care, and an RCVS Advanced Practitioner, supported by dedicated Veterinary Nurses and a committed support staff.

Qualifications & Experience

• RCVS registered veterinary surgeon
• Minimum 3 years experience in an Emergency & Critical Care environment
• Certificate in ECC advantageous but not essential
• Experience in coaching or mentoring beneficial
• Strong communication, teamwork, empathy, humility, respect, honesty, and work ethic
