Responsibilities
- Work autonomously and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to undertake assessments and treatment planning for young people and their families.
- Conduct initial assessments, including urgent, routine mental health and neurodevelopmental evaluations, and formulate evidence-based treatment plans.
- Make clinical decisions and manage risk, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes using routine outcome measures and report findings to support service development and compliance with Trust guidelines.
- Communicate effectively, build and maintain relationships with colleagues across the team and external agencies, and support links with partner services for children and families.
Position Details
Three roles available: 2 full‑time (37.5 hours per week) and 1 part‑time (22.5 hours per week). The role is based in the Bury CAMHS Initial Assessment Team.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Excellent assessment skills and experience in formulating clinical decisions and management plans.
- Knowledge of legislation, safeguarding, and service user rights relevant to young people.
- Strong communication skills, flexibility, self‑motivation, and willingness to build links across multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex, emotive issues in a professional manner.
