Overview

Are you an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist looking to work in a dedicated team? An opportunity has arisen to join the Adult Psychology Service within Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. The role is based with Bournemouth East CMHT, Kings Park Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Skilled in assessment, formulation and delivery of highly specialised psychological therapies to adults with significant mental illness/disorder.
• Provide highly specialised advice to clients, their families, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Develop highly specialised programmes of care and make judgments involving complex facts.
• Undertake clinically relevant research and audit evaluation, and supervise the research & development activities of Assistants and Trainee Clinical Psychologists.
• Share sensitive information with clients, carers and professionals, respecting confidentiality.
• Receive regular specialised supervision, in line with good practice guidelines.

Employment Details

This is a full‑time post of 37.5 hours per week. Flexible working is available.

Employment requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, covered by the Trust. Candidates who subscribe to the DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.

Driving is essential: you must hold a full and valid UK driving licence and be able to travel using your own vehicle on Trust business.

Eligibility

Applicants requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are ineligible.
