Overview
An opportunity has arisen to join the Department of Otolaryngology / Head & Neck Surgery at University Hospitals Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust. We have 4 permanent positions available within the department & 1 fixed term 12 month contract position. The ENT service provides adult and paediatric outpatient and inpatient ENT activity at the major teaching hospital in Bristol, and also provides outreach clinics and inpatient support and advice across a range of other sites including Southmead Hospital and Weston General Hospital.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Otolaryngology, rhinology & head and neck outpatient clinics, both face‑to‑face and telephone clinics.
- Operate in theatre.
- Outpatient clinics, operating and emergency care at University Hospitals Bristol & Weston precinct, Southmead Hospital, and Weston General Hospital.
- Travel to all activity areas as required.
- Compliance with all relevant Trust policies relating to patient care administration.
Management and Leadership Responsibilities
- Report to departmental clinical lead and the Divisional Clinical Chair, responsible to the Chief Executive and Trust Board.
Academic and Teaching
- Contribute to academic, research and teaching aspects of the posts within the major regional teaching hospital.
Qualifications
- Completed core surgical training (or equivalent).
- Experience in ENT.
