The Growth Company’s (GC) Employment, Justice and Health team has a fantastic role open for an Employer Engagement Consultant. In this role, you will deliver a range of guidance, coaching and training services to support unemployed individuals, helping them progress into work, training or education.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement activities that generate leads and create opportunities to promote and sell services to employers.
- Undertake direct marketing and sales activity across digital, telephone and face‑to‑face channels, including attending employer and networking events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to support business and contract delivery.
- Work collaboratively with Growth Company colleagues to increase referrals and promote the full range of services available.
- Use a consultative approach with employers to understand their recruitment and workforce needs, aligning these with business objectives.
- Analyse local labour market trends and identify key sectors and employers to support customers into employment opportunities.
- Manage employer accounts effectively, ensuring high levels of service, regular reviews and opportunities for repeat business.
- Ensure all customer and employer activity is accurately recorded, including maintaining up‑to‑date MI systems and adhering to data security and operational procedures.
About you
- Must have previous sales experience, ideally within a target‑driven environment.
- Recent experience of working to challenging targets and KPIs.
- Experience of securing vacancies and supporting job starts would be advantageous.
- Good knowledge of the local labour market, recruitment methods and growth industries.
- A warm, approachable style, with the ability to build strong relationships and rapport.
- Understanding of welfare‑to‑work services and customer groups would be beneficial.
Skills required
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage expectations and handle queries or complaints professionally.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to network effectively.
- Ability to work to challenging targets and identify new business opportunities.
- Strong IT skills, including experience of management information systems, spreadsheets, email and diary management.
- Ability to engage with decision‑makers, identify opportunities and support the closing of opportunities.
- Flexible approach to work, including willingness to travel and occasionally work unsociable hours.
