We are looking to recruit an agricultural/plant fitter to join our company to maintain and service our expanding hire fleet on a full‑time basis. The fleet consists of excavators ranging from 1.5 t to 30 t – the vast majority of which are Hitachi and Kubota. We also have Wacker Neuson and Thwaites dumpers (3–9 t), JCB telehandlers, Bomag rollers, as well as Scania and Mercedes commercial vehicles and light commercial vehicles.
Role includes
- Day‑to‑day service and maintenance of the fleet
- Managing the fleet service schedule as part of the workshop team
- Ensuring plant is inspected prior to delivery and on return
- Site breakdown resolution
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience in plant repair and maintenance (specific to our fleet ideally)
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail in all aspects, administration and practical work
- Ability to work on own initiative and together with others
- Welding ability is essential
- Current UK driving licence
- Proven ability to hold a long‑term position
