Job Title: Senior Multi-Skilled Engineer
Location: Barnet
Terms: Weekly shift pattern 6am-3pm / 9am-6pm, with on call
Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 depending on qualifications and experience
Requirements:
- NVQ / City of Guilds certificate/background
- Previous Hospital, Medical Gas, Chargehand experience
- Level 3 Qualification
About the company:
A well-established maintenance provider renowned for prestigious contracts. They are currently recruiting for a Senior Multi-Skilled Engineer on a hospitality building in Barnet. The company promotes staff internally and aims to add a strong Multi-Skilled Engineer to their team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe environment for all users, promote safety culture, and ensure adherence to H&S procedures and policies. Manage the Permit to Work system.
- Undertake Responsible Person/Authorised Person duties as required. Act as a role model for Safe Systems of Work. Participate in the call rota. Undertake training as needed.
- Manage approved contractors, ensure work is covered by suitable RA/MS, and monitor delegated activities for quality and safety.
- Follow company processes, effectively manage the engineering team's workload.
- Conduct spot check audits on completed work to ensure standards and proper reporting.
- Oversee the M&E team at an engineering level, identify improvements, and escalate issues as necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
- Client-facing experience involving direct interaction with clients or customers
- Strong Mechanical and Electrical background
- Previous experience as an Engineer
