Kirklees Council is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Environmental Health Degree Apprentice (BSc) to join our friendly and supportive Public Protection team.
This is your chance to study for a recognised BSc in Environmental Health at Leeds Beckett University, while working alongside experienced professionals who protect public health and improve local communities every day.
You’ll attend university one day per week, while spending the rest of your time gaining hands‑on experience across a wide range of Environmental Health work – all while earning a salary.

What you’ll be doing
With full training and support, you’ll:
- Investigate real Environmental Health issues and complaints

- Learn how Environmental Health legislation works in practice
- Build confidence managing a supervised caseload

- Take part in some evening or out‑of‑hours work once trained
