HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Fire & Security Power & Propulsion & Shipbuilding Sectors. We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas. The client is an established and well‑regarded fire and security company based North Somerset, supporting customers across the Southwest of England and South Wales.
Duties and responsibilities of the Fire & Security Engineer
- Installation, servicing, and maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control Systems
- Fault finding and rectification across a variety of security and fire platforms
- Working across commercial and residential client sites
- Ensuring all work is completed to relevant industry standards and company procedures
- Completing job reports and documentation using company software
- Participating in an on-call rota (one week in four)
- Providing excellent customer service and technical support
- Maintaining company vehicle, tools, and equipment
Qualifications and requirements for the Fire & Security Engineer
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the fire and security industry
- Strong knowledge of installation and servicing of multi‑discipline systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and within a teamGood communication and customer‑facing skills
- Willingness to participate in on‑call rota
- Relevant industry qualifications (desirable but not essential depending on experience)

Fire: C‑Tec, Fike, Advanced, Hochiki, Apollo, Kentec, Protec (Addressable & Conventional)
Intruder: Pyronix, Orisec, Galaxy, Texecom, Scantronic, Risco, Menvier
CCTV: Dahua
Access Control: Paxton, Videx, ACET
Working Hours & Package
- Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Occasional Saturday work with notice (paid extra)
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays
- Christmas to New Year closure with shared call cover
