Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer – Central Belt – Salary up to £48,000

CBW are looking for a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to carry out maintenance and reactive work for a leading facilities provider. The role will be covering the Central Belt of Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time.
  • Carry out reactive tasks throughout the sites.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork for PPM, reactive and breakdown works.
  • Update customers CAFM system in real time.
  • Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order.
  • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works.
  • Undertake Point of Work Risk Assessment prior to starting work.
  • Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
  • Participate in the teams oncall rota and be available for overtime.

Person Specification

  • A recognised industry qualification will be required, and previous experience is essential.
  • Appropriate Combustion/Gas/Oil Qualifications essential.
  • Trade qualified Combustion Engineer with appropriate post apprenticeship experience desirable.
  • Must have a full clean drivers’ licence.
  • Legionella awareness (preferable – can provide training).
  • Asbestos awareness (preferable but not essential).
  • MEWP Licence (preferable but not essential).
  • First aid trained (preferable but not essential).
  • Self‑motivated and able to work unsupervised.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Must be available to participate in an out of hour’s standby rota.
