Food Manufacturing Engineer
Responsible to: General Manager
Employment type: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Location: BD20
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum - negotiable depending on experience
Job Purpose
To ensure that the plant and equipment runs safely and efficiently at all times with the aim of minimising downtime.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimise plant and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation and minimal downtime.
- Ensure familiarity with electrical and mechanical aspects of food machinery, including:
- Flow wrapping machines
- Volumetric bagging machines
- Check weighers
- Metal detectors
- Ribbon date coders
- Mixing machines
- Robotics
- Other bakery processing equipment
- Complete maintenance paperwork within agreed timescales.
- Collaborate with the team, remain flexible, positive, self-motivated, and proactive in all tasks.
- Support a two-shift system and may be required to cover evenings and weekends.
Qualifications and Skills
- Good PC skills and ability to manage documentation and records.
- Strong initiative and ability to keep up with all aspects of the work.
- Team player with a can-do attitude.
