As a Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of electrical engineering solutions across a varied project portfolio in sectors such as life sciences, defence, education, commercial, healthcare and more. You will take ownership of multiple medium-complexity projects or key packages within larger schemes, ensuring delivery aligns with client briefs, programme requirements and industry standards.
You will play a pivotal role in client engagement—building lasting relationships, providing technical advice, and supporting business development. Internally, you will contribute to team leadership, mentoring engineers and supporting resource planning, while maintaining a hands-on approach to design and project execution.
Degree-qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent experience), with Chartered status or working towards it. Proven experience leading electrical design across multiple sectors, with strong knowledge of regulations, sustainability principles and digital tools. Effective communicator with experience in multidisciplinary collaboration and project delivery.
This role supports flexible and hybrid working, typically combining office, site and remote work. Expect a collaborative office presence several days per week, balanced with flexibility to manage your workload. Projects are UK-wide, with occasional travel as required.
