About the school

We are a specialist SEND school supporting children and young people aged 4–19 with PMLD, SLD and non‑verbal communication needs. The environment is supportive and focuses on individualized learning, communication development and life skills.

Role Overview

The Deputy Head Teacher will support the Head Teacher in leading the school, overseeing teaching and learning, and ensuring high‑quality provision for pupils with complex needs, including PMLD, SLD and non‑verbal learners. This is a full‑time role with the potential to become permanent.

Qualifications

• QTS and senior leadership experience within a school setting
• Experience working with students with PMLD, SLD and non‑verbal needs
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Experience supporting staff development and improving teaching standards
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• A compassionate, resilient and proactive approach
