Role Overview

The SEND Casework Team supports over 4,600 children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities to achieve positive educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate EHCP processes in line with the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice
  • Produce high‑quality EHCPs, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and outcomes‑focused
  • Prepare for and attend meetings related to the EHCP process, including annual reviews
  • Liaise effectively with parents/carers, schools, and multi‑agency professionals
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with key stakeholders
  • Monitor and review EHCPs, making amendments where required
  • Support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes and transition successfully between education phases
